Dennis R. Stephens is the Director of Business Development of Aviation Training Consulting, LLC (ATC), based in Altus, Oklahoma. ATC is a professional training development and consulting company specializing in pilot, aircrew, ground-crew, and maintenance training designed to meet complex training challenges. Mr. Stephens is responsible to lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new national and international business and to develop and maintain effective key agency relationships.
Mr. Stephens enlisted in the US Army in 1983 and served in air defense artillery. Upon completing his enlistment, he obtained a Bachelor Degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1988. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the USMC in May of 1988. After receiving his aviator’s wings in 1990, Stephens was assigned to fly the CH-53E aircraft. Military career highlights include six oversees deployments; assignment as a primary instructor at the world’s leading aviation weapon’s and tactics school, Marine Aviation Weapons’ and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1); two combat tours, including one as Squadron Commander, Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 462.
After retiring from the USMC in 2007, Mr. Stephens joined ATC as a Program Manager. After successful expansion of multiple existing programs, he was moved to ATC’s Business Development Division with the intent to expand ATC’s products and services to international markets. In early 2009, Mr. Stephens moved to Kuwait to serve as Chief Pilot and Program Manager for the Kuwait Air Force’s, Squadron 91 (S92) VVIP Amiri Flight, in service to His Highness, The Amir of Kuwait. Mr. Stephens returned to the States in late 2010 to assume his current position. He has been a catalyst for significant new business development in CONUS and OCONUS markets. Dennis lives with his wife, Terri in Monument, Colorado. They have six grown children and five grandchildren.
Lt. Colonel Stephens is actively involved with helping others with whom he has served to become successful after life in the military.
