Military career began in 1984 as a Candidate in the Navy’s Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. Designated a Naval Aviator in 1985. Served in the Fleet flying the RH-53 Sea Stallion for HM-14. Served as Tactics Officer and was tasked with planning and executing the clearing of Iranian mines from the Straights of Hormuz in 1987. Served in Panama in 1988 in the same capacity flying the first airborne sonar mapping of the Panama Canal. Instructor Pilot with VT-3. Established and commanded a Search and Rescue Unit as well as a Station Aviation Maintenance Department for NAS Pensacola.  

In the Air Force served as the Senior Stage Manager for Ramstein, Germany for all C-17 crews operating in the Middle East and Europe. During Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom he was Special Instructions Chief for the Coalition Air Operation Headquarters in 2003. Served in numerous Combat Operations Centers throughout the world in various roles including the Chief of Strategy Guidance and Chief of Air Tasking Coordinators. Retired in 2014 after serving over six years as a Deputy Director of Global Operations for the USAF’s Tanker and Airlift Command Center.

Bob was a commercial airline pilot from1996 to 2017 and retired from American Airlines. A Competitive Research Analysis with the Union Pacific Railroad in 1980-1983. A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration  from Ole Miss and a Masters in International Relations from Troy University. Was a ground floor member of the innovative draft beer monitoring system Intelitap. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer for Olly Holly LLC, Executive Vice President of Business Development for New Market Veterans, LLC and CEO of Olly Holly Real Estate Investments, LLC.

Although retired from active duty, Robert remains committed to enhancing the quality of life of his fellow brothers-in-arms.
