Dave Adams
Adams is a founder and Chief Executive Officer of HealthcarePays. HealthcarePays is a technology solution platform for the healthcare industry that allows simpler payment from insurance companies to healthcare providers, resulting in lower cost, better service to providers and reduced waste and fraud.
Mr. Adams has a career of technology startups in the data integration, supply chain and healthcare industries. Prior to joining HealthcarePays, Mr. Adams was the founding CEO of InteliTap a global leader in data capture, management and consulting in the hospitality and brewing industries. Mr. Adams’ vision and leadership helped the company grow, organically and through acquisition, from zero revenue to $25MM in revenue 5 years. InteliTap has offices throughout the US and in South America, Australia, Europe and Africa.
Prior to forming InteliTap Mr. Adams was responsible for corporate strategy and technology at TrenStar. TrenStar was a startup whose revenue grew from zero to $55MM in under five years. Mr. Adams developed business plans to launch the company and subsidiary companies in the Healthcare, Brewing, Aircargo, Logistics and Chemical industries. Unique business plan combined Active and Passive RFID solutions with technology and logistics operations to create value. He was instrumental in selling over $750 million worth of long term contracts. As a result of Mr. Adams’ strategic vision and planning in 2005 TrenStar was awarded AMR Research’s prestigious innovation award recognizing TrenStar for its continuous innovation.
Mr. Adams was directly responsible for software and hardware development at TrenStar. Standardized solutions directly improved customer inventory, maintenance and transportation performance based on RFID generated information. Solution was recognized by Microsoft as a best in class solution in the RFID space. Business model and solution awarded the AMR “Most Innovative” company in America award for 2005.
Mr. Adams has also held management positions with McKesson Medical, Pepsi-Cola, Viewlocity and i2 Technologies. Prior to joining the civilian work force Mr. Adams was a Naval Aviator. Mr. Adams holds a BA in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute, an MBA from Troy State University and an MS in Operations Research from the Naval Post Graduate School. He sits on the boards of The Apple Reit (the fourth largest hotel company in the world), VHI Express (a regional transportation company), New Market Veterans (a company dedicated to helping disabled veterans) and the VMI Alumni Association.
He and his wife of 22 years, Melinda, live in Richmond Virginia with their two daughters. They have a son on active duty in US Army.
